Much More Than Just Toothpaste
Traditional toothpastes merely coats the surface, but Quest's transgingival formula targets the subsurface gum tissue where periodontal diseases originate. By incorporating polyphenols and antibacterial agents, Quest enhances oral, periodontal, and overall health, safeguarding your pet against the complications of periodontal disease.
The Science Behind Quest
Years of research by leading scientists have perfected the extraction and purification of polyphenols from various fruits and vegetables. These natural compounds are safe, effective, and work synergistically with antibacterial agents to combat a wide range of oral pathogens.
Our easy-to-use product replaces the toothpaste you may have been using and adds an important adjunct to the normal dental care program that your veterinarian may have recommended in an attempt to manage periodontal disease.
But advanced technology is now available in QUEST.
Periodontal disease is one of the most prevalent oral inflammatory diseases in pets and affects their health and well-being beyond oral problems. The polyphenolic complex in our product works synergistically with other antibacterial agents against a large number of bacteria associated with periodontal disease, including gram-positive, gram-negative, virus, and fungi organisms. It enables transgingival penetration so that the polyphenol complex penetrates the surface of the gum and attacks infection in sub-surface gum tissue that ordinary toothpastes reach poorly, if at all.
The resultant disease if left unchecked may lead to aggressive destruction of the periodontal ligament, connective tissue, and alveolar bone, resulting in tooth loss and possible spread of the infection to other organ systems. The bioavailability and important benefits of polyphenols are enhanced by our exclusive transgingival tissue absorption, avoiding digestive degradation.
Over 20 years of research, leading scientists have developed the technologies for the extraction and purification of polyphenols from a range of fruit and vegetable products. Polyphenols are all-natural, safe, and extremely effective.
How to Use Quest
Start by introducing tooth brushing to your pet's routine, ideally while they're less than a year old. For older dogs/cats, gently rub the outer surface of the gums with your finger or a soft cloth to build their confidence. Then, transition to a small, soft bristle toothbrush and apply Quest toothpaste directly to the brush. Brush the teeth and accessible gingival areas in gentle circular motions, aiming to brush at least three times a week.
The amount you use is not critical, but depending on the size of your pet, drip about 10-20 drops of Quest from the squeeze bottle onto the toothbrush bristles, and gently brush the teeth, and even more importantly, the accessible gingival areas, particularly where they contact the teeth. This should take about a minute or two. You are done, and if you want to rinse, wait a few minutes to allow gingival penetration.
No Need to Rinse
Quest toothpaste is formulated with a hint of natural beef flavor, making it more enjoyable for your pet. Plus, there's no need to rinse afterward, simplifying the process for both you and your furry companion.
